The protagonists of the film Hell or High Water are two brothers who do not have much luck in life. One has just gotten out of jail and the other is divorced and in charge of his two children. To make matters worse, he has money problems.
Both brothers have a farm in Texas, but they are going to lose it soon because they can not cope with bank payments. The farm is family owned, so it means more than just a property for the brothers.
That’s why they come up with a plan that would prevent them from losing the farm. The plan is to steal a bank, thus obtaining the money they need to cope with payments, which increasingly overwhelm them.
The brothers carry out the plan, which works well for them, but they do not have the Texas Rangers, a body famous for its tenacity. In particular, two of them will not give up until they capture the two brothers.
