In Slow West, Jay is a very young Scottish aristocrat who is accustomed to the good life, to live among cottons. However, it seems that he wants to give up everything for love, since he is about to embark on a journey that has little to do with the comfortable life he leads.
The woman he loves is in the American West in the nineteenth century, a time and a wild land, which has nothing to do with civilized Europe and with peaceful Scotland, full of green fields.
Love can do everything, so Jay embarks on the journey, a march that is not very suitable for someone like him, because in the American West you will have to face all kinds of dangers.
Luckily for him, he finds himself on the road with a rather mysterious outlaw, who offers to accompany him. The outlaw manages the gun well, so Jay will travel more safely, or at least that’s what he believes.
