Miss Shepherd is an old maid who travels the country in her van. Nobody knows her origins, because she travels from here to there without engaging in much relationship with anyone.
One day he parks his van in London, right at the entrance to the house of writer Alan Bennett. He does not like to have a vehicle with a person living inside parked at the door of the house, but after talking to his owner agrees to do her the favor of letting her stay there for a while, which will be brief.
The time is past and Miss Shepherd does not leave. Thus, between the two is establishing a rather curious relationship that extends over time, so much, that what would be a few days become fifteen years of coexistence more or less forced.
In the tape we can see who is really Miss Shepherd and the reason why he travels by van in the country.
